We are growing and evolving in the clay community with our new studio, Capital Clay in nearby Gaithersburg, MD! The Clay CoOp and Capital Clay are complementary partner studios designed for different stages of the ceramics journey.
Capital Clay is for learning ceramics, offering adult classes, kids classes and summer camps - anyone seeking instructor-led classes and clear learning pathways.
The Clay CoOp has evolved into a focused maker studio centered on Membership and Practicum for independent ceramic artists who want time, studio access and a warm, inclusive community. The studio space is collectively member managed, so you'll always be surrounded by fellow clay lovers and have the opportunity to participate in every step of making - from clay creation to kiln unloading.
Additionally, the Practicum program is led by Chris Landers (Founder of The Clay CoOp and Capital Clay) and features unique member-driven learning experiences and demos every week so you'll continue to grow and can experiment with new techniques.
