Am I Beginner or Intermediate?
Both classes are absolutely suitable for first-time students. The main difference is the overall pace and group experience.
The Intro class is designed so that everyone moves through the material together at the same pace. It offers a very communal learning environment and is a great choice if you’re looking for a structured introduction and shared experience with fellow beginners.
The Beginner / Intermediate class includes a wider range of skill levels, including students who are more established in their practice. While this can be inspiring and motivating for some, it can feel intimidating for others. This class is best suited for students who are comfortable working a bit more independently in a studio with a diverse mix of experience levels.
Our advice:
If you’re looking for a supportive, shared introduction to learning, we recommend the Intro class. If you’re comfortable working more independently and enjoy being in a studio with a broader range of skill levels, the Beginner / Intermediate class may be a great fit.
