Class Description
Beginners in this class will learn the basics of working with clay. We will focus on building a strong foundation of how to work with the materials while starting to explore aesthetic sensibilities. Intermediate students will be given the opportunity to develop independent projects with the help and guidance of an instructor.

The Clay CoOp in Rockville, Maryland offers classes for adult students 18+. We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all students. As part of our values, we require all students to embrace a spirit of inclusivity and kindness, respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others in our community. We believe that our studio should be a safe space for creativity, learning, and mutual respect. We are excited to announce that we will continue to build two absences into the schedule and cost calculation for our eight-week classes. This means that the pricing for an eight-week class will be based on the cost of a six-week class, allowing you the flexibility to miss up to two sessions without affecting your enrollment. Feel free to attend all eight weeks as a bonus! Please note that we do not offer additional make-ups beyond these built-in absences. Our shorter format classes do not include built-in absences, and as such, make-ups will not be offered for these sessions.
