Class Description
Glaze Application Workshop: Exploring Color, Layering, and Surface: In this hands on workshop students will learn the tips, tricks, and thoughtful planning that go into successful glaze application. We will explore the intricacies of working with our studio glazes, experiment with layering and overlap, and discuss how to achieve specific visual effects. Students will walk away with a deeper understanding of glaze behavior and the confidence to approach their pieces with intention and creativity. Students must have bisque ware from another class to participate.

The Clay CoOp in Rockville, Maryland offers classes for adult students 18+. We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all students. As part of our values, we require all students to embrace a spirit of inclusivity and kindness, respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others in our community. We believe that our studio should be a safe space for creativity, learning, and mutual respect. We are excited to announce that we will continue to build two absences into the schedule and cost calculation for our eight-week classes. This means that the pricing for an eight-week class will be based on the cost of a six-week class, allowing you the flexibility to miss up to two sessions without affecting your enrollment. Feel free to attend all eight weeks as a bonus! Please note that we do not offer additional make-ups beyond these built-in absences. Our shorter format classes do not include built-in absences, and as such, make-ups will not be offered for these sessions. Be sure to read the class descriptions for further details regarding each course. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in the studio!
