Class Description
In our one-time classes, you'll explore the art of handbuilding with clay. Together, we'll craft a unique project, and you'll have the chance to choose from our selection of 10 house-made glazes. After bisque firing, we’ll apply your chosen glaze. Three weeks later, you can return to pick up your beautifully finished piece. All work created in the studio is food- and dishwasher-safe. This class is perfect for a fun date or as a first experience working with clay!

The Clay CoOp in Rockville, Maryland offers classes for adult students 18+. We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all students. As part of our values, we require all students to embrace a spirit of inclusivity and kindness, respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others in our community. We believe that our studio should be a safe space for creativity, learning, and mutual respect. We are excited to announce that we will continue to build two absences into the schedule and cost calculation for our eight-week classes. This means that the pricing for an eight-week class will be based on the cost of a six-week class, allowing you the flexibility to miss up to two sessions without affecting your enrollment. Feel free to attend all eight weeks as a bonus! Please note that we do not offer additional make-ups beyond these built-in absences. Our shorter format classes do not include built-in absences, and as such, make-ups will not be offered for these sessions. Be sure to read the class descriptions for further details regarding each course. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in the studio!
